The Process

I would like to do an extension into my garden, but I am not sure if that’s actually possible? Does it cost me to get your opinion?

No, we do free consultations. You only need to pay when we agree and begin with the work.

How long does it take for you to file the application?

This depends solely on the size of the project, but we are very confident that we’re the fastest in the industry.

When will I get a response about the decision for the application?

It is hard to say. There are many factors involved in application process: the authority in charge and their workload, size of the project, etc. But rest assured that we are constantly checking the application and will let you know as soon as we have any news.

I wasn’t aware that I needed a permission to make changes in my own home. What should I do now?

The worst case scenario is that you may be fined and forced to undo the changes. Don’t let it come that far. We can help you to file an application for a work already started.

Payment

Do I need to pay the fees upfront?

No, it’s enough if you pay half of the fee upfront and the rest before submitting any application.

Do I get my money back if an application wasn’t approved?

As you are paying for our time and work, there will be no refund. The outcome of the applications does solely rely on the building regulation’s decision. This can be due to any reason which cannot be known beforehand. Failing applications are rare. There are usually amendment requests to the proposal which will be done accordingly. There is usually no extra charge involved.

I have changed my mind after you have started the work. Will I get a refund for my initial payment?

We will do a re-calculation and bill you the amount for the work which was already done. If this amount is less than your initial payment you will get the difference back. Does the work done exceed what you’ve paid already, we’ll kindly ask you to pay the outstanding amount.

My building permission was granted, but I have changed my mind and want different things now. Do I need to pay the full amount again?

No. Usually part of the existing work can be re-used. Is this the case you would pay less.
